Berryville , AR- The PCCA Patriot Cross Country team continued their winning ways on Saturday in Berryville, earning podium finishes in all four divisions! The varsity boys and junior high girls both took first place honors while the varsity girls and junior high boys earned runner-up finishes.
In the varsity girl's division,
Kendall Griggs led the way with a personal best 5K time of 22:58 and a sixth-place finish. Sophomores
Mary Hyatt and
Ellie Bishop both earned medals finishing in seventh and eighth place respectively. Sophomore Madelynn Gray finished with a personal best time and a seventeenth-place finish.
In the varsity boy's race, junior
Caleb Ryan finished fifth and set a new school record in the 5K with a time of 17:26. Sophomores
Ben Jones and
Ethan Maline both earned medals, finishing in the top ten. Sophomore
Gramm Bertram finished in eleventh while junior
Ben Siemens finished in thirteenth to help seal the team victory.
Gabbie Bishop took home a first-place finish with a school record 11:59 in the two-mile junior high girl's race. Zoe Miller ran a personal best time and placed third. Jane Adams, Layla Maline, and Madeline Cristafaro all earned medals with top ten finishes.
The junior high boys were led by
Ayden Barrow with a second-place finish in the two-mile race. Elijah McCollough and
Gabriel Smith both earned medals with top ten finishes.
Next Up; Providence Varsity teams will compete in one of the Souths greatest running showcases- The Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville. The Junior High Teams will compete in the Y Timing Festival in Rogers.
