Bella Vista, AR- The Providence Academy golf teams participated in the Confidence Classic hosted by The First Tee NWA and sponsored by Wal- Mart and Proctor & Gamble at Bella Vista Country Club on September 16,17.  The prestigous tournament featured 25 teams from the NWA area. 
At the conclusion of round one, Providence Academy led the field by one shot. Preston Green and Stevens Hunter were tied for the top individual score along with Drew Griffith of Van Buren. The girls team was in eighth place led by Abigail Barker and Payton Smith in scoring.
A quick start and increased lead of three shots by the Patriots,  vanished by the turn. Providence continued to grind but could not retake the  lead and would finish in 2nd place behind Bentonville High School. The boy's teams from Van Buren and Springdale Har-Ber rounded out the top four teams.
Preston Green led the Patriots in scoring, finishing in fourth place individually. He was followed by Stevens Hunter (9th) and Conner Guthrie (13th).
The Providence girls finished in seventh place and were paced in scoring by senior Abigail Barker in 18th place individyually. The Lady Patriots improved their team score by fifteen shots from day one to day two.
