BELLA VISTA - After Round 1 of The First Tee Confidence Classic, the Patriot Golf team sat squarely in 4th place out of fifteen of the largest schools in Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding area. Stiles Hunter led the way for the Patriots individually, shooting a 69 (-3) first round, which placed him in a three way tie for the lead. Stevens Hunter put up a 75 (+3) and Austin Barker shot an 80 (+8) as well to help place Providence squarely in contention for yet another good finish at this tournament. Brayden Wiechman rounded out the counting scores for the Patriots, with a career low round of 84 in only his second Varsity tournament. 

Round 2 brought about struggles, but the Patriots remained resilient. Amidst choppy weather and good performances by others around them, the Patriot golfers continued to battle, ultimately finishing in 6th place as a team. Stiles Hunter individually finished in a tie for 3rd place, capping off a great fall for the sophomore. Senior Stevens Hunter snagged a top 15 finish as well to end a great fall semester as well. 


UP NEXT - The Patriots will have the rest of the fall and winter off, before returning to action in the spring.
