Patriot Cross Country Competes in Sapulpa

PR's set by EVERY runner

The Providence Academy Cross Country team participated in the Sapulpa Chieftain Cross Country Meet in Oklahoma, Saturday, September 2nd.  Every athlete ran tough, with all of them setting a lifetime best. Abby Elcan finished 6th overall with a time of 5:49 in the stacked JR High girls one mile run. Tate McCall finished 19th overall with a time of 5:40 in the JR High boys one mile run. Both Tate and Abby medaled. The JR High boys team finished 7th out of 11 teams competing. "We are right where we should be at this point in the season. I'm happy with how the workouts are going, physically speaking, but our mentality and how we approach difficult tasks still has a lot of growing room and some of that growth has to take place before October 6th. It will happen", said Coach Hime following the conclusion of the meet.

The Patriot cross country team will be competing in the Elkins Invitational, Saturday, September 9th (races begin at 8:00 am).  Come out and support your Providence Patriots!
