Lisa Bivens

Lisa Bivens enters her 7th year as the Head Girl’s Basketball Coach of both the Varsity and Jr High lady programs. Coach Bivens also oversees the entire lady basketball program which includes, youth leagues, summer camps and various service and team building ventures throughout the year.

“Coach Lisa”, as her players call her, attended the University of Central Arkansas where she majored in Kinesiology.  She was four year starter for Arkansas High School Class-A Powerhouse Guy-Perkins.  Within only seven players suiting up during her senior season, Coach Bivens helped lead the Thunderbirds to the #1 overall ranking in the entire state of Arkansas regardless of classification, between 1990-1992.

Coach Lisa believes that experience has helped her teach the lady Patriot student-athletes they can play ANYONE despite the size of the school.

The Lady Varsity Patriots won the Class 3A Heartland Christian Athletic Association (formerly known as the OCSAA) State Tournament in 2016 and 2017.  The Jr. High Lady Patriots won their first basketball state championship in 2017.

“I absolutely love coaching these girls because I love being with them. My passion is driven by watching them learn the sport, their work effort, and most importantly, I want them to be able to say I was a mentor that pointed them to Christ. I love to win games, but I love more when these girls turn into young women that can help change the world.”
