THE RUNDOWN
The Providence Academy Lady Patriots Basketball Team (7-1) spent the week in Lavaca, AR, returning to the Golden Arrow Classic for the sixth time in seven years. Entering the tournament as the #2 seed, the team's road to the championship game included a thirty-six-point victory against County Line (0-8) and a forty-four-point win versus Pea Ridge (7-4).
The Championship game saw the Lady Patriots matched up against the Lavaca Lady Indians (7-4). Providence got off to a slow start in what was an incredibly physical game, but eventually stretched out to a 35-23 lead at halftime. Lavaca fought their way back to make it a five-point game with 1:50 to play, but hustle plays by
Lola Kiraga and
Anna Imbo helped stretch the lead back to double digits with just under a minute to go. As the clock hit 0.0, the scoreboard showed 64-57 and the Lady Patriots celebrated the program's second Golden Arrow Classic tournament win and the team's fifth consecutive victory this season.

- 60 – Sophomore Lola Kiraga recorded her season high point total against Pea Ridge (32) in the semifinals, and then followed it up with another strong performance against Lavaca (28).
