PEA RIDGE, AR- It looked like it may be a long night for the Providence Lady Patriots verse Pea Ridge at Blackhawk Arena. Turnovers and missed shots deep in the lane continued to plague Providence late into the third quarter. The Pea Ridge Lady Patriots are known for their stellar defense and down 12 with a minute left in the third, the lady Patriots needed a spark, and it came from Josie Phillips. Her back to back baskets seemed to remove the lid from the Patriot basket, and ignite a furious comeback. Back to back three pointers from
Olivia Phillips and Anna Imbo brought the lady Patriots to within two 34-32. Karolina Kiraga and
Lydia Shaddox scored in transition on back to back steals from the attacking Providence defense and sent the Patriots to a lead it would not relinquish. Two free throws from Kiraga would send the Lady Patriots to a 43-38 victory over Pea Ridge. Karolina Kiraga led Providence with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
